Wearing a supportive surgical or sports bra at all times after surgery helps to avoid swelling and displacement of the implants. After three weeks, a soft cotton bra can be worn. You shouldn’t wear an underwire bra for 6 weeks. Since breast shape and size can change subtly for several months after breast augmentation surgery, you may want to avoid buying expensive bras for 3-4 months.
