Discover The Future Of Hair Transplantation Technology

There are three questions you should ask yourself before reading About hair transplant surgery:

  • Am I willing to have a large scar across the back of my scalp regardless of the procedures success rate?
  • Am I able to handle the difficult surgery, surgical recovery, and downtime associated with the current leading hair restoration procedures?
  • Am I able to handle the long term discomfort associated with removing a 1″ – 2″ strip of my scalp caused by the stretching required to close the donor site?

If you you’ve answered “No” to the questions above like all of our other patients both male and female alike, then we feel it is well worth you time to learn a bit more about your hair transplant options. We are not a one size fits all hair restoration clinic, and we only offer a single surgical pain free – no stitch – no scar option for hair restoration. We are one of the leading cosmetic surgery practices in the United States, and we’ve created what we strongly feel is the ultimate experience in hair restoration. The procedure we offer uses a device with a small needle that is inserted into the scalp around a single hair follicle, and then removes it with light suction. The hair is then implanted back into the scalp with a single needle, leaving a pain free natural looking result without any visible signs of the procedure in less than a week.

The next generation of micro hair grafting

We have built a highly qualified team, which includes a plastic surgeon, a physicians assistant and two of the countries leading hair transplant technicians. Our state of the art system allows our team to automate the surgical removal, collection, and placement of individual hair follicles, one at a time, eliminating the need to remove a large strip of skin from the back of the scalp. The system is so precise it is capable of removing targeting individual follicles, which are harvested intact and are then implanted beck into individual follicles that have been lost.

We offer our male and female patients a no-scalpel/no-stitch option for FUE hair transplants, with the ability to return to work the next day. The NeoGraft allows us to preform an extremely effective micro surgical procedure that allows for the precise, artistic placement of new hair follicles to recreate a full and natural-looking hairline, while reducing recovery time and eliminating the unsightly linear scar associated with traditional hair transplants.

The procedure is completed in a single day, and an evening in our recovery suites is even included with our procedures for out of town guests.

How much does hair transplant surgery cost?

As a dominant leader in NeoGraft procedures, we are able to offer our patients the ultimate experience in male or female hair replacement surgery at an unparalleled value. We have exclusive relationships with some of the leading hair graft technicians in the United States, and we pride ourselves on putting patient results first. Because of this we have a “per area” pricing system, which is not based upon hair count. As a result our patients get the best result we can offer, rather than the best result they can afford.

How many hairs will I need to have replaced?

Everyone is different, and we’ve done as many as 4,000 in a single day. However, 2,000 hairs covers the equivalent surface of an entire DVD Disc. If you are experiencing early stage hair loss, you would obviously require far fewer transplants.

Hair Loss History and Science

Hair restoration surgery dates back to the 1930s. A Japanese dermatologist developed a punch technique to extract round sections of hair. He then implanted them into slightly smaller holes. Surgeons originally performed this procedure to cosmetically cover burns and scars.

A few years later, a New York dermatologist performed the first known hair transplant in the United States. By the early 1990s, surgical hair restoration began producing far more natural results. Today, advanced technology and robotic systems help surgeons achieve optimal outcomes. Modern procedures leave no scarring, require no incisions, and involve minimal recovery time.

Understanding Male Pattern Baldness

Male pattern baldness is also known as androgenic alopecia. Leading experts link it to DHT — Dihydrotestosterone — a male sex hormone that directly affects hair follicles. Most experts agree that DHT causes 90 to 95% of all male pattern baldness. The amount of DHT a person produces depends largely on their genetic makeup.

In hair restoration, we identify DHT-resistant follicles at the back of the scalp. We then transplant them into thinning areas. Other forms of hair loss exist as well. These can stem from autoimmune diseases, infections, medications, burns, or scarring.

How Do I Know If I’m a Good Candidate?

Good candidates for hair restoration surgery are in overall good health. They have moderate hair loss and sufficient donor hair at the back of the scalp. Patients with greater donor hair density can typically expect fuller, more robust results.

Having realistic goals is equally important. Hair transplantation produces very natural, beautiful results. However, it cannot restore the density you had as a teenager. We will discuss your expectations honestly during your consultation.

We also understand that hair restoration is not the right fit for everyone. For patients who are not candidates due to health, hair loss pattern, or financial concerns, we have partnered with EZIO — one of the country’s most respected wig and toupee makers. Laser hair replacement therapy and hair replacement products are also available right next door to our practice.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE — also known as the micro graft method — is one of the most precise hair restoration techniques available. We remove individual hair follicles from the scalp in their naturally occurring groupings of one to four hairs. We then dissect them into individual follicles and place them precisely in areas where balding has occurred.

Minimizing trauma to the scalp and follicles is the key to natural-looking results. FUE is an excellent option for many patients. The technique is so precise it can restore not just scalp hair, but also eyebrows and even individual eyelashes. Our commitment to staying at the forefront of hair restoration led us to the next generation of this technology — NeoGraft.

How Is NeoGraft Performed?

NeoGraft is the most advanced hair transplant system available today. We take hair follicles from the donor area at the back of the head. We then implant them precisely into areas of thinning or baldness.

NeoGraft uses controlled pneumatic pressure to extract each graft smoothly and cleanly. There is no pulling. There is no twisting. Both pulling and twisting can damage the graft and reduce its viability. Because NeoGraft works faster than older methods, we can re-implant the grafts sooner. This keeps them more robust and significantly increases the success rate of the entire grafting process. The result is a safer, more efficient procedure with a higher likelihood of beautiful, lasting outcomes.

How Soon Will I See Results?

The science behind hair grafting is straightforward. We take hair follicles from the back and sides of your head. That hair is genetically programmed to keep growing. The transplanted follicles are living tissue. They grow in natural cycles, just like the rest of your hair. Hair transplantation is an ongoing process. It requires patience and a commitment of time.

Once we implant the hair follicle into the balding area, the grafted hair stays in place for two to three weeks. Then it sheds. This is completely normal. It is an important part of the new growth process. New hair begins to grow within three to four months. Most patients notice significant results within six to eight months. After that, the hair continues to grow naturally. Your results will look healthy and completely natural.

How Long Will the Hair Last?

Transplanted hair taken from the safe donor areas — the sides and back of your head — should continue to grow for the rest of your life. It behaves exactly as it did before transplantation.

Hair loss does not stop after a transplant. Some patients will need ongoing maintenance. This may include preventative hair loss medications, additional restoration sessions, or both. This is especially true if your balding pattern continues to progress with age.

Men can begin showing signs of male pattern baldness as early as their twenties. Hair loss can begin at any point in adult life. For women, hair loss typically presents as thinning or a diffuse pattern. It most commonly appears around the age of 55 to 60.

Progressive hair loss or the desire for greater density may mean additional transplant sessions down the road. During your consultation, we will evaluate your balding pattern and give you an honest estimate of how many procedures you may need.
