Simple Answer: Yes — and for the right patient, combining procedures is something we genuinely encourage. Many of our patients come to us wanting to address more than one area of their body, and performing multiple procedures together means one surgery, one anesthesia, and one recovery instead of several. Done thoughtfully, it’s both safe and highly effective.

Here’s how we approach combining vaginoplasty with other procedures, and what you should know before your consultation.

The Case for Combining Procedures

For patients who want to address vaginal laxity alongside other body concerns — particularly postpartum changes to the abdomen and breasts — a combined approach often makes a great deal of practical sense.

Consider what many of our patients are dealing with after having children:

  • Vaginal laxity and reduced sensation
  • Loose abdominal skin and separated abdominal muscles
  • Changes to breast volume, shape, or position from nursing and hormonal shifts
  • Stubborn pockets of fat that haven’t responded to diet and exercise

Addressing all of this in a single surgical session, rather than returning for multiple separate procedures over months or years, is often the most efficient and comfortable path — especially for busy women who can’t take repeated recovery periods away from work and family.

Combining Vaginoplasty with a Tummy Tuck

Pairing vaginoplasty with a tummy tuck is a combination we perform regularly, and it works very well. The two procedures address entirely different areas — vaginoplasty works internally on the vaginal canal and pelvic floor muscles, while a tummy tuck addresses the skin, fat, and abdominal wall muscles of the midsection. There’s no anatomical overlap, and recovery from both can happen simultaneously.

A tummy tuck removes excess abdominal skin and fat, tightens the abdominal muscles (including repair of diastasis recti, the separation that commonly occurs during pregnancy), and reshapes the waistline. Combined with vaginoplasty, it addresses the full scope of postpartum structural changes to the core and vaginal area in one surgery.

If liposuction to the flanks, hips, or other areas is also on your list, that can often be incorporated as well.

The Mommy Makeover Connection

Vaginoplasty is a natural component of what we often refer to as a mommy makeover — a personalized combination of procedures designed to address the full range of changes that pregnancy, childbirth, and nursing bring to a woman’s body. The specific combination is always tailored to the individual patient, but common pairings include:

The advantage of the mommy makeover approach is that the full transformation happens in a single recovery period. The tradeoff is that the surgery is longer and recovery is more involved than any single procedure alone — which is why thorough patient evaluation and surgical planning are essential.

Combining Vaginoplasty with Other Vaginal Rejuvenation Procedures

Within the vaginal rejuvenation category itself, vaginoplasty combines very naturally with:

  • Labiaplasty — addressing external labial concerns and internal laxity together in one surgery is extremely common and produces comprehensive results
  • Pubic (mons) lift — for patients whose mons pubis has descended or become prominent with age or after weight loss
  • FemTouch Vaginal Laser — typically performed as a separate appointment before or after surgery rather than on the same day, to complement the structural repair with ongoing tissue quality improvements
  • TempSure Vitalia — similarly, a maintenance tool that pairs well with the surgical result over time

Is It Safe to Combine All of These?

Safety is always the first consideration. Longer surgeries carry additional risks — including blood clots, extended anesthesia time, and greater demands on the body’s healing capacity. We evaluate every patient individually to determine what combination of procedures is safe based on their health, BMI, surgical history, and the total anticipated surgical time.

There are combinations we’ll enthusiastically support and combinations where we’ll recommend staging procedures separately to keep you safe. Our job is to help you achieve your goals as efficiently as possible — while never compromising on safety to do it.

How We Build Your Plan

During your consultation, we’ll talk through every concern — abdominal, vaginal, breasts, and beyond. We’ll give you our honest assessment of what makes sense to combine, what should be staged, and what the recovery experience would look like. You’ll leave with a clear, personalized plan — not a generic package.
